Elementary Special Education Teacher

The School District of Wild Rose seeks an Elementary Special Education Teacher in Wild Rose, WI.

The School District of Wild Rose, located in Central Wisconsin, is seeking a progressing forward-thinking individual that is looking for a quality school district, one with high expectations for education; the joys and challenges of a smaller rural district; and the opportunity to work with a team of staff and administrators focused on continual improvement of student learning.

The School District of Wild Rose is searching to fill a 1.0 FTE Elementary Special Education Teacher to begin with the 24-25 School year.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administration and hold a WI DPI license.

Teaching Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Teach Grade 5K-5 Special Education

  • Ability to collaborate with grade level and curricular teams around student learning

  • Understanding and preference for working with middle school students

  • Ability to create a meaningful and student-centered learning environment

  • Understanding and proficiency in Google Classroom and virtual learning tools

  • Ability to incorporate reading and writing standards into the math & science curriculum

  • Ability to use data to drive decision-making in the classroom and beyond

  • Provides instructional support and assessment for students who are above & below grade level

  • Works collaboratively in a team approach and utilizes differentiated learning to meet the needs with students

The vacancy will start with the 2024-2025 school year.

Preference to candidates who hold a Special Education License OR meet Special Education eligibility requirements to obtain a Special Education license as required by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI).

School Location/Setting

The School District of Wild Rose is a small rural school district in central Wisconsin, located in Waushara County. There are currently 573 students enrolled in the School District of Wild Rose. We are 98 miles north of Madison, WI, and 39 miles southeast of Stevens Point, WI. The communities of Wild Rose, Saxeville, Mt. Morris, Pine River, and West Bloomfield, along with the surrounding rural areas of these communities, make up our district. The district function hosts 4K/EC through 12th grade in two buildings (Wild Rose Elementary and the Middle/High School).
